About us
Solidarity Kosovo is a 1901 law declared in the official journal of the French Republic. The legal purpose of our association is "to undertake and promote activities of assistance and solidarity with the Serb population of Kosovo and Metohija".
The president of this association is Arnaud Borella-Gouillon.
Solidarity Kosovo is:
- Humanitarian aid each year since December 2004 in the Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija.
- Support for Serb children and their parents.
- A willingness to break the silence and lies surrounding the events in Kosovo and Metohija by numerous actions in France and Europe: lectures, debates, exhibitions ...
Solidarity Kosovo has conducted numerous humanitarian convoys since its launch in 2004:
- Traditionnal humanitarian convoys at Christmas, to take school equipment, warm clothing and gift packages to children in the enclaves of Banja, Velika Hoca, Crkolez, Osojane, Orahovac, Gorazdevac. The children of these enclaves south of Kosovo do not receive any aid. Their living conditions are unacceptable ... We try, with the resources that are ours, to ease the situation.
Solidarity Kosovo has also made two convoys of humanitarian emergency aid in 2008, to ensure the security of Serb enclaves:
- In February 2008 (less than four days after the proclamation of "independence" of Kosovo) we have taken for 7000 euros of telecommunication equipment for the safety of families in isolated enclaves.
- In July 2008 we again provided equipment for the safety of Serb inhabitants including video surveillance equipment (cameras, computers and software material). All equipment (worth a total of 13 000 euros) was handed over to representatives of the enclaves.
Help children, support parents and ensure security wherever necessary, these are the objectives of Solidarity Kosovo.
Serbs and minorities of Kosovo know they are not alone, they now know they can rely on a handful of people determined not to abandon them.
Our association receives no public subsidy and depends only on the generosity of donors. If you also want to participate in this great action you can help us here: click here.
