Two explosions have taken place in Kosovska Mitrovica last night, and six fire-fighters have been injured. The first incident happened on late Friday evening, when a hand grenade was activated near one of the busiest cafés in the northern part of the town, and it damaged several vehicles. Soon after in the Bosnjacka mahala section, two stores were set on fire, owned by an Albanian, and in the explosion that happened during the intervention, six fire-fighters were injured. Their condition is stable, stated director of the Mitrovica Heath Center Marko Jaksic. Also injured in the commotion that followed the explosion were the reporter of the Most TV from Zvecan Mirjana Nedeljkovic and cameraman Dejan Tanasijevic. Namely, they were attacked by unidentified persons. It is the second serious incident in Kosovska Mitrovica in the last five days, as previously, on December 30, two Kosmet Albanians have stabbed 16 year-old Serb Nikola Bozovic, which has in turn caused a wave of unrest in the town. Bosnjacka mahala is a multi-ethnic settlement near the line that divides the town on northern, Serb part, and southern one, with the Albanian majority.
