The Medical Centre in Gracanica has announced that a Kosmet Serb was heavily beaten up near that town in central Kosmet. M.L., aged 52, was beaten up on the Janjevo-Gračanica road while trying to fix his car with Serbian registration plates. He was beaten up by three persons that swore at him in bad Serbian and told them they were beating him up because he is still using registration plates issued by Serbian authorities. The attackers also kept telling him that Kosovo is an Albanian state. After they left him lying on the road, he tried to call emergency by phone, but failed, because telephone connections had been out of function since September 26, when Kosovo authorities destroyed the equipment of the Serbian Telekom. However, he managed to reach the Medical Centre.
